Theme and Scope: The systems, technologies and the products for safe and intelligent living, along with the problems related to the incorporation of technologies in support strategies to indipendent living are the main challenges issues of the 8th edition of ForItAAL.
The Forum 2017 aims to share and discuss the progress in the methodologies and enabling technologies to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and interaction between the different actors AAL (researchers, end-users, associations and political representatives, health professionals, companies, “policy makers”).
Autonomy, independence, quality of life and life expectancy constitute the general coordinates and work addresses on which the participants will discuss in thematic round tables.
In particular, this year the session focus will be dedicated in housing: a very topical issue in the light of the new policy guidelines of the housing, which focused on urban regeneration and retrofit as well as on security of public and private buildings.
In this context the AAL interventions can fit as multipliers of value not only with reference to the real estate, but also in terms of the realization of inclusive settings and optimal conditions for safe and smart living.
In its role as an engine of development and change, the ForItAAL 2017 aims to:
• enhance projects, results and good practices in AAL area;
• foster debates on social policies and the future of AAL;
• provide opportunities for cooperation and common solutions.
