SPECIAL SESSION ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR INCLUSIVENESS

GOODTECHS 2021- 7th EAI International Conference on Smart Objects and Technologies for Social Good

Currently, the use of sensors and mobile devices has been increasingly used and an increasing number of users. On the other hand, the use of artificial intelligence methods and the use of innovative applications that allow to promote the expansion for people with special characteristics presents itself as a challenge for science named computer science. Over the last few years there have been several systems with Alexa that through voice commands perform certain daily tasks, systems have been created to help people with special needs to be able to access certain areas that until then were totally excluded. Areas such as the creation of furniture adapted to people with special needs, knowing in a timely manner whether or not a particular building has characteristics for the visit of a person with special needs, turning on or off appliances, doing voice research are some more examples of this paradigm. Using artificial intelligence methods, on the other hand, allowed and allows to increase the degree of intelligence of these devices or applications, allowing them over time to have self-learning mechanisms.

Initially, we addressed this thematic of inclusion in tourism, but this area is becoming more popular with the objective of making the world more inclusive and accessible to all people – like all areas of life that need human interaction.
